Hallelujah in the style of Rufus Wainwright

Hallelujah

In the style of Rufus Wainwright (because Shrek...)

Originally by Leonard Cohan

Flute Notes by Fantastic Flute Notes

* The hardest part of the song has to be this low c note as it is really hard to hit on a flute without practice. If you're a beginner flute player having trouble hitting this low note try to practice going down the b flat concert scale and go as low as you can. Look up some tips and youtube videos that'll give some advice on how to hit the note. It is all in the embouchure, you want to aim for a relaxed embouchure and blowing very minimal amount of air, the harder you blow the higher the note will be (that's what she said). Honestly, it's all about practice and this song is a perfect song to practice going into the lower range of notes with a flute.

* I put the optional G there seeing as Freddie's voice right at the end of die goes back up, it'll still sound nice if you end on the E but if you want a more accurate sound of the lyrics the G isn't too hard to add.

The Long and Winding Road by The Beatles

The Long and Winding Road

By The Beatles

I grew up on the movie Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. I really don't care what people say about it to me that movie is the greatest movie in the world. I usually don't like covers of songs but in this case I enjoy the covers more than the original since, as I said, I grew up on this movie. No matter how much I have tried to listen to the original version of this song while composing this piece I couldn't help but thinf of the Sgt. Pepper Version with Peter Frampton. There aren't many differences between the two but for those differences I wanted to warn everyone ahead of time that this piece is mainly based off of that version. I will put a video to the Sgt Pepper version of the song below.
