In case you're curious I guess you've managed to stumble your way onto this page in which I will just talk a little about myself if anyone is ever interested at all.

My name is McKenna and I love music, if that isn't already clear enough from this blog. I am currently nineteen and throughout my life I grew up with classic rock thanks to my mom who wanted to impose this amazing music genre to my younger brother and I the moment we were born. I remember being really little and we would always play games in the car where a song would come on the radio and we would have to guess what the song was and who it was buy. She always told us she taught us about Guns n Roses first and Bon Jovi to follow and the rest sort of fell into place. I take my music very seriously and because of that I admit I have a strong bias towards what I enjoy in my music. Unfortunately for me most of the bands I like are old or dead...

Some of my favourite bands are The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Billy Talent, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Sabbath, REO Speedwagon, Rush, AC/DC, Prince, Greta Van Fleet, Baby Metal and probably a load more which I am not going to name off for the sake of time.

I am Canadian and proud of it. I just hate the snow for the life of me...

I started playing music around fifth grade when I began piano lessons and I recently stopped going to piano lessons since university is kicking my ass and taking up all my time. I began playing flute, alto saxophone and piccolo at the beginning of high school when I was fourteen. I found more than anything with music I am amazing at playing songs by ear which is horrible when it comes to being in band because it means I sometimes stray from the sheet music and play what I feel sounds right. I've always had a little trouble with reading sheet music, don't get me wrong, I can certainly read music however I much prefer hearing a song and then playing it by myself trying to get the notes which is the reason I have started this blog. I dedicate it to mainly beginner flute players who have trouble with reading sheet music like I did, or even expert flautists who might somehow find this useful if you can get over the horrible formatting since it basically throws any sense of theory out the window. I always hated music theory to begin with. I try my best to compose songs into flute melodies and I hope it'll be of some help to someone out there. This is simply a hobby of mine and a place for me to keep all of my compositions as well so, even if no one cares and no one is reading this shit I enjoy doing this for myself.

As said, I am currently in university studying for forensic psychology. It's a hell of a lot of work but somehow I think I enjoy it which I have never said before with anything related to school. Songs on here can sometimes take a long time to upload because of this since it takes a lot of work for me to compose these pieces and with school it gives me even less time to work on songs.

I am, above all else, a fangirl. I obsess over the show Supernatural which I am like 110% positive I have to be the biggest fan out there...although I will spare the weird details about why I think so. I love tv shows, movies, books and, of course, music. I am a HUGE horror movie fan as well. I actually have some tattoos, one which is Jason Voorheese's mask being stabbed in the eye with the word 'redrum' above it, on my lower arm I have a water colour tattoo of the Abbey Road Beatles album silhouette and on my upper inside of my arm I also have Freddie Mercury's signature as he is my one true role model.

I really think that's about all there is to me. I am a morbid person with an active imagination and I hope you enjoy this blog.
